Dooars IX (Women) Wins Islampur Night Football Match

Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 23^rd April, 2017: Today at the Alhaaz Md Imazuddin Memorial Champions and Jiten Chandra Nandi Runners Knock Out Night Football a friendly match was being played between Royal FC and Dooars XI Women’s football teams. Before the match, famous poet-reciter Smt. Mananeeta Chakraborty anchored the inaugural cultural program. Apart from this Karate exhibition was also held.

The dignitaries present during the occasion were Women representatives of Marwari Yuva Manch, Social Activists from Chakulia Smt. Ashima Biswas, MIS Department of Rural Development Mr. Golam Rabbani, Municipality Chairman Mr. Kanhaiyalal Agarwal and others. Since the match was a women’s football match so a large contingent of women supporters was seen among the crowd. The match finally ended in a draw after both the teams conceded two goals each in the opponent’s goal. Later the match ended in a tie-breaker and Dooars IX won the match by 4-2 goals. The Night football convenor Mr. Mehdi Hedayatulla said that in the future women from Islampur will be enthusiastic about Women’s Football.
